October 2016, we lost one of our best friends – Lucy aka Love Bug, Bug for short. She passed in our arms at home. She had cancer and was in pain.  Being a responsible pet owner, comes with the responsibility of having to make hard and painful decisions. Knowing the time has come was one of them. It was so hard to say goodbye but harder to see her in pain and not being able to take that pain away.

I brought her home from my first Adoption Day I worked as a volunteer with Central Texas SPCA – Leander, TX.  Knowing me, Jim told me NO MORE DOGS.  Before the event ended, Jim stopped by.  I was holding  her. The first words out of his mouth were, ‘If you want her, you can have her’.  It was love at first sight and that day Lucy became a Mosner Kid.

When we brought her home, she knew immediately all of her worries were gone. She had  a personality that was unique, she was feisty and she was great hunter of raccoons and squirrels.
